Christ Church CE Primary is a Creative Partnerships Change School located in Fenton, Stoke-on-Trent. We are a caring and welcoming school of 214 pupils aged 3-11, committed to raising standards, encouraging excellence and achievement through enjoyment of, and participation in, a creative teaching and learning community. We value each individual for the contribution they make and the diversity they offer and aim to raise aspirations by enabling all to engage in the process of life-long learning.
We are looking for creative partner/s to work with Key Stage 2 to help us investigate the question:
“How can we plan in a creative and flexible way?”
We are interested in receiving applications from creative partners from any background/discipline.

The partners we will select will have:

• Experience of delivering CPD to Key Stage 2 staff.
• Experience of working with teachers to plan, deliver and evaluate projects
• Ability to model creative approaches to teaching and learning.
• Flexibility when faced with the unexpected.
• The ability to encourage risk taking.
• Enhanced CRB clearance and Public Liability Insurance for £5million.

As a Creative Partnerships Change School, we have a budget of around £4000 for project work. The project will run from October 2010 and will be devised and delivered with both staff and pupils across the department. We would like our project work to feature:
• CPD for staff – with a particular focus on creative planning.
• Challenges that encourage children to become independent and curious investigators.
• Stimulating speaking and listening opportunities.
• Offsite and onsite activities related to the project.
• Learning that will outlast the project.
The fee will include planning, reflection and evaluation time as agreed with the school and the creative agent.

The deadline for applications is 30th August and interviews will be held at the school early in the autumn term.
As part of the interview process candidates will be asked to work with staff and pupils.
