SHOP is a new space in Stoke Town that will transform an empty shop into a venue for unusual and exciting performance, interventions, screenings and other happenings.
Alongside our core programme currently under development we have space for studio artists on a short-term basis. The project will be running from June to October and we are looking for studio artists who are looking to experiment with their practice in an unusual setting. You will receive support from the SHOP project team and be included in the SHOP programme.
We will be asking for a small donation of £20 per week to use the space as a studio and all money raised will contribute directly to the ongoing programme until October.
SHOP is particularly interested in artists who are looking to experiment across art forms with performance, live action, moving image or digital work.
SHOP is funded by Arts Council England and Stoke on Trent City Council. Our supporters include Fierce, Staffordshire University and many more.
